Hi TestCafe team,
I tried to run the testcafe example script on older & lowest browser versions available on Sauce Labs and I'm getting test script failures & errors. On the latest/somewhat recent browser versions the same test passes.
Following are the results I got:
PASS on "saucelabs:Chrome@40.0:Windows 10"
FAIL on "saucelabs:Chrome@26.0:Windows 10" (Got error - "Uncaught TypeError: Expecting a function in instanceof check, but got 126.96.36.19925767564028502")
FAIL on "saucelabs:Firefox@4.0:Windows 10" (Got error - The Firefox 4.0.1 / Windows 8 0.0.0 browser disconnected. This problem may appear when a browser hangs or is closed, or due to network issues.)
FAIL on "saucelabs:Firefox@20.0:Windows 10" (Got error - AssertionError: expected '/testcafe/example/' to deeply equal '/testcafe/example/thank-you.html')
PASS on "saucelabs:Firefox@40.0:Windows 10"
I didn't try going any further than this because there's about 1000 different browser versions (including mobile) available on SauceLabs and at the moment I can't run on all of them.
It would be very helpful if you can run on all the browser versions available on SauceLabs and let us know/publish the exact versions of browser versions that TestCafe supports. I know here it says TestCafe is actively tested against limited number of officially supported browsers, but it will be great if TestCafe team can expand that and test against some older browser versions. It's really important for us to run our functional tests against the older browser versions.
